As part of the Nevada Health Foundation Development Team, the essential function of the Development Officer
is to successfully identify, develop, cultivate, solicit, and steward philanthropic relationships. This position will work closely with the Executive Director and development staff as a critical part of the team. This position will organize, manage, and execute fundraising activities focused on generating major gifts for the Nevada Health Foundation. Major donor prospects will be identified from new sources and through a moves management system.
The Development Officer is expected to identify individual donors, foundations, and organizations with giving interest, access, and capacity for solicitation and stewardship. This position must be open and willing to work in a busy, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The Development Officer must also be willing to work within a team environment (even though in a different physical location), perform administrative duties as necessary, be willing to lend a hand in helping when colleagues are pressed to meet deadlines, and accept other assignments as requested.
