Responsibilities

Seeking a Registered Nurse to lead our Maternal Health Program. This role will involve overseeing women's health-related activities and functions of the clinical and non-clinical care teams. The position will evolve from active participation in the development, implementation, and management of maternal health programs.

The primary focus of this position is to work collaboratively with all internal stakeholders and strategic partners in Nevada to promote access to quality reproductive, prenatal, antenatal, postpartum, and preventative care. The program manager is a resource for all NVHC access points.

 

General Duties (not exhaustive) 
• Conduct clinical assessment and utilize critical thinking skills.
• Assist with patient triage.
• Lead and manage the Maternal Health Program, ensuring the continuity of care for pregnant women within the community.
• Coordinates and facilitates review of maternal patient care through various settings (in-patient, out-patient)
• Oversees and supports clinical team and non-clinical teams to optimize the effectiveness of the program objectives and goals.
• Ensures accurate data collection and reporting at least quarterly
• Collaborates closely with strategic partners to ensure comprehensive care coordination and integration of primary, behavioral, and women’s health services.
• Participates in community outreach activities.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records, ensuring compliance with privacy and confidentiality regulations.
• Contribute to program development and improvement by providing insights based on direct patient interactions, feedback, and community needs.

Quality
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies..
• Participates in Quality Management committees, projects and meetings
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet the organizational needs.

 

 

Qualifications

Requirements and Qualifications 

• Active unrestricted Nevada Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Nursing degree from an accredited Nursing Program
• Minimum of 5 years experience working as an RN.
• Minimum 3 – 5 years experience in Women’s Health
• Active Basic Life Support certification
• Valid Nevada driver's license

• Proficient in English both verbal and written
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficient in medical record documentation and technology.
• Empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity when working with homeless individuals.
